The question of whether God has forsaken the land of Israel and rejected the Jews as his chosen people has been debated for a long time. The following Scriptures prove that God has neither forsaken the holy land nor replaced his people with another.

Zechariah chapter 14 prophesies that at his second coming, the Lord will establish his kingdom in Israel and rule the world therefrom. During his reign the Jews will have rest from their enemies, and all nations will be compelled to go unto Jerusalem annually to worship the King. This is one of the clearest proofs that God has neither rejected nor replaced the Jews or their land; for the Lord will reign from Jerusalem, protect Israel, and punish the nations that will not come unto the holy land to worship him.

Revelation chapter 20 says that shortly after the Lord has reigned on earth for a thousand years, Satan will gather wicked nations together to attack Jerusalem once more, and God will destroy them. Thus, God will protect Israel and her people for a thousand years, all the way to the end. How could this be true if he is finished with Israel? ’Tis impossible.

Revelation chapter 21 tells of a city called new Jerusalem descending from heaven onto the new earth, which the Lord will create; and this city bears the names of the 12 tribes of Israel and 12 apostles. Hence, God’s love for Israel will continue into the world to come.

In Isaiah chapter 49, the LORD says to the inhabitants of Zion, who are Jews, “Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands.” The LORD himself imprinted the people on his hands for his love toward them, something never said of another people.

In Jeremiah chapter 31, the LORD says that if the ordinances of the sun, moon, and stars depart from before him, then the seed of Israel shall cease from being a nation before him for ever. Since these ordinances will never depart from the LORD, it is not possible that Israel should ever stop being God’s nation.

Jeremiah chapter 31, “Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.” The fact that these things cannot be done demonstrates that God will never cast off all the seed of Israel, meaning they will remain his people for ever.

The prophets declared it, and the apostles affirmed it, that Israel is God’s for ever.

Though the nation is currently in a state of rebellion, Israel will one day return to God, at which time she will shine as the stars, as the prophets and apostles do testify.
