Islam: a Danger to Israel and Jews

INTRODUCTION

The Scriptures show that the Jews are the apple of God’s eye, being most precious and dear unto him. To be injurious unto them is to stir the LORD’S anger, for he takes personally any harm done to them. Islam is hostile toward Israel and the Jews, seeking to overtake the holy land and bring God’s people into submission, as this article shows.

WAR

The book of Exodus says, “Thou shalt not kill.” The book of Matthew says, “Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment.”

The Qurʾān says, “fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is all for Allah.” Hence, the Islamic war against Israel and the Jews will never stop, because the Jews’ religion is not for Allah.

The founder of Islam, who is the fountainhead thereof, is reported to have said, “Judgment Day will not come until you fight the Jews and kill them. The Jews will hide behind stones and trees, and the stones and trees will call, Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him — except for the Gharqad tree, which is the tree of the Jews.” It is believed that Allah will one day give rocks and trees power to speak, that they might deliver Jews into the hands of Muslims to be killed.

THREATS

To grasp the seriousness of the Islamic threat against Israel and Jews worldwide, consider the following declarations against them.

Mahmoud al-Zahhar, a Palestinian Foreign Minister, said in 2006, “Israel is a vile entity that has been planted in our soil, and has no historical, religious or cultural legitimacy. We cannot normalize our relations with this entity.”

In 2009, an unnamed Hamas Imam said during a Hamas sermon, “Allah willing, the moment will come when their property will be destroyed and their sons annihilated, until not a single Jew or Zionist is left on the face of the Earth.”

Muhammad Hussein Ya’qoub, an Egyptian Islamic scholar and cleric, said during a 2009 speech in Egypt, “If the Jews left Palestine to us, would we start loving them? Of course not. We will never love them. Absolutely not.” He further said, “It is Allah who said that they are infidels. Your belief regarding the Jews should be, first, that they are infidels, and second, that they are enemies.” He also stated, “We must believe that our fighting with the Jews is eternal, and it will not end until the final battle.”

Ahmad Bahr, a top Hamas official, said in 2012, “Oh Allah, destroy the Jews and their supporters. Oh Allah, destroy the Americans and their supporters. Oh Allah, count them one by one, and kill them all, without leaving a single one.”

An unnamed Imam speaking at a 2014 Hamas sermon from the Gaza Strip said, “Our doctrine in fighting you (the Jews) is that we will totally exterminate you. We will not leave a single one of you alive, because you are alien usurpers of the land and eternal mercenaries.”

Fathi Hammad, a senior Hamas political leader in the Gaza Strip, said in May 2019, “We have come to tell the Zionist enemy—including its people, its army, its government, and the Israeli Parliament—leave us, for the day of your slaughter, extermination, and annihilation is near.” He said in July 2019, “There are seven million Palestinians abroad, enough of your warming up. You have Jews everywhere. We must attack every Jew on the planet — slaughter and kill, Allah willing.”

Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader in Gaza, said in 2021, “We support the eradication of Israel through armed jihad and struggle. This is our doctrine.”

Hamad Al-Regeb, a Hamas official, said during a 2023 sermon in Gaza, “Oh Allah, bring annihilation upon the Jews. Oh Allah, bring annihilation upon the Jews. Paralyze them, destroy their entity, tear them apart, bring upon them a terrible punishment. Oh Allah, enable us to get to the necks of the Jews.”

A SPIKE IN GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM

Global antisemitism spiked immediately after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th, 2023. Here are statistics from the Anti-Defamation League.

Poland: in 2023, antisemitic incidents increased by 91%.

USA: from October 7th, 2023 to September 24th, 2024 there was an increase of more than 200% in antisemitic incidents compared to the same period a year earlier.

Netherlands: in 2023, antisemitic incidents increased by 245%.

Austria: antisemitic incidents increased 500% from October 7th, 2023 to December 31, compared to the same period in 2022; the full-year of 2023 saw a 60% increase in antisemitic incidents.

Argentina: January 2024 saw a 600% increase in antisemitic incidents versus January 2023.

Brazil: there was a 961% increase in antisemitic incidents during the month of October 2023, in comparison to 2022.

France: from October 1st, 2023 to December 31, there was a 1,000% increase in antisemitic incidents compared to prior months.

Denmark: in 2023, there was a 1,244% increase in antisemitic incidents compared to 2022.

United Kingdom: 4,103 anti-Jewish hate incidents were recorded across the UK in 2023, the largest-ever total recorded in the country up to that point.

While antisemitism has always existed, the global surge following the 2023 Hamas attack cannot be overlooked, nor can the subsequent rise in hostility toward Israel and Jews worldwide be ignored.

CONCLUSION

Not all followers of Islam are dangerous or violent; some are peaceful and want to live a calm life. However, those who are hostile toward Israel and Jews cannot be overlooked, and ’tis certain that Islam is naturally adversarial to God’s people.

The Islamic threat against the Jews is a religious, territorial, and spiritual matter: religious, because Islam seeks to overthrow the Jews’ religion; territorial, because Muslims believe that the land of Israel belongs to them, and they will never stop attacking Israel until they claim it as their own; spiritual, because Satan hates the Jews and he seeks to destroy them by any means possible, including the hands of men and false religions.
